Frequently Asked Questions

What primary services do you offer?

We offer recycling education and visitor assistance in offloading of their vehicles.  If you get the recycling to us, we can assist you in offloading and sorting.  Please don't expect to drop off your recycling for others to do.  We will assist you but do not have the staff to dedicate a personal service to individuals.

What do you specialize in?

Pushing the limits of all of our old equipment, while educating visitors with how to properly recycle with us, trying to always assist in every way possible, and combatting recycling myths and misinformation!  (We also help businesses meet sustainability goals with free reviews and training!)

How much does it cost to drop items off?

It is FREE!!   Bring in a bag or bring a truck.  We'll assist as much as we can with unloading and sorting. (It always depends on how many volunteers we have and how many visitors.)  If you have a truckload and call ahead, we'll be waiting for you.  Since we are a non-profit 501c(3) organization, we offer Tax Donation Receipts, please ask for one.

Can I get a Donation Receipt?

Absolutely.  You can get them for donating your Recycling, your mileage to and from our facility, any money (cash or check), or any supplies.  Please check our gallery for the donation receipt to download or snag one from the bulletin board on your way out from your next visit.  You are responsible for indicating the value and the type of donation.

When is the best time to come?

Tuesdays are our busiest days.  Saturdays are next.  So Thursday is the best day to come unless you make an appointment on another day but those are usually reserved for businesses.  Want 24/7/365 access?  Once our new fence and access control is installed, we will offer a 24 hour access membership (by invitation only) for $25 a month.

"Is it okay to come around the gate or over the chain to bring my recycling in?" or "You aren't open and I want to give you my stuff, can I leave it outside the gate?"

Absolutely NOT.  If the gate is closed, or our Consumer entrance bay door closest to the road is closed with the bright yellow panels, we are closed.  We may be moving heavy equipment, performing maintenance, preparing for semi truck deliveries or pickups or processing material.  Please do not come on the property when we are closed as it is not only a safety issue, but a theft concern. We have cameras at the gate and on the property.  We will provide only one warning if you trespass.  The second time, we will report it to the police with your vehicle tag, make and model as well as pictures of you dumping items.   If your recycling just can not wait, please contact your Solid Waste Management on where your closest commingling bin is, but just be aware that the bins take very little items compared to our services.

Can you help businesses with sustainability goals?

ABSOLUTELY!  Although we cater to anyone willing to come to our facility, business partnerships and sponsorships keep our lights on.  We will come to your facility, review your waste processes and materials and present you options for how to reduce your waste bill and increase your circularity or sustainability.  This service is FREEEEEE....FREE FREE.  Most other companies will charge for this service.  Did I mention that Clover does it for FREE?!  We provide you with weights of the material you sorted and brought to us so you can calculate the savings from your waste bill and determine your percentage of sustainability or "saved from landfill".  We offer the use of our logo and contact information on your webpage if other companies want to verify or ask about this service.

Do you offer paper shredding?

YES!  It is 75 cents a pound if we shred it for you but 50 cents a pound if you get an operational safety briefing from us and do it yourself.  It can do paper and staples, but no folders, cardboard, plastic, paper clips, binder clips, etc..

Do you offer memberships?

YES we will!  A membership will be offered to Super Recyclers on a case by case basis at $25 a month.  It will allow them to come in 24 hours a day to recycle.  It is only offered to Super Recyclers as they will not have assistance or Clover support if after normal business hours.  They have to know exactly where things go and how they have to be prepared as we don't want to come in one morning and see that someone expected us to sort through their trash and separate it. They also have to be comfortable opening the bay door (automatic for person entry or pull chain for drive in ability) and exiting the building by backing out. Even though it looks like there is plenty of space to turn around, we've already had too many accidents to allow this.

What else is included in a Membership?

Besides unlimited 24/7/365 access to Clover for recycling where you will be able to drive your car inside (versus parking outside and walking in), we will also offer use of the event or crafting areas one day a month, a free recycling tote bag, a Clover hat or Tshirt of your choice, and up to $25 a month to be used in our "Lucky Clover" Shop!  What a deal!!
